Premium Beautiful

I have started to wear the famous corset, Premium Beautiful since 3 days ago. What I can tell you is that it feels so good wearing it. Even though I had to struggle with it on the first day, but after a while, it feels like a second skin to me. I can't wait to see the result when the school reopens later. Wish me luck! ;)

Selling!

I don't usually do this, but here I am selling these new books and perfume.

1. Nicholas Sparks' The Best of Me (SOLD!)
Reason for selling: I bought this book online and did not realize that I had already bought one a few months earlier. It is still new, not yet read & still in good condition. Selling price is RM20.

2. Lindsey Kelk's I Heart Vegas
Reason for selling: Same as above. Selling price is RM15.

3. Hugo Boss Perfume (free FCUK Friction perfume for men)
Reason for selling: Bought it wrongly for a friend, not yet open, still sealed. I'm throwing in a free FCUK Friction perfume for men. Selling price is RM150.

All items are still in good condition, new and I guarantee that they are originals. I prefer to sell all these to serious buyers who live in Kuching as it is easier to give them in person, so that no one will accuse me of cheating/lying/selling fake products. So, if you're interested & live in Kuching, please leave your comment. I'm more than happy to answer your questions. :)

A gentleman

I will always remember a gentleman, who stood outside the elevator of Grand Blue Wave Hotel, Shah Alam back in 2009.  Why? Well, here's my story.

I was instructed to go to a course for newbies at Grand Blue Wave, Shah Alam. It was a 3 or 4 days course & all the newbies from the whole country would be there. With a heavy heart, I packed my bags & went to the course. It was not like I had a choice anyway. I arrived early at the said hotel, registered my name & went to my allocated room to freshen up.

The first slot started at night, so my roommate & I went to the banquet hall, took our seats all the way at the back & listened to the talk. As usual, my eyes started to scan the hall, looking for someone familiar, but I saw none. Towards the end of the first slot, I saw a handsome man, way in front. He was standing up, talking to the person next to him. I was transfixed by his good looking face. Realizing that everyone had gone out of the hall, I immediately put away all my stuff & walked out of the hall, thinking about the handsome man.

Since that night, I always looked forward to the remaining slots because I wanted to see him, the nameless handsome man. I only knew his name on the last slot, when the MC announced placement for each participant. I managed to catch his name. Let me just call him Mr. K.

After the last slot, we parted ways. I went back to my room, took out several important documents & went downstairs to extend my stay at the hotel. I went to the elevator & guess who I saw? Mr. K.!!! He was standing by the elevator, looked like he was waiting for the elevator as well. He asked me whether I wanted to go up or down, I was speechless for a moment before I could mutter a lame answer, "Down.". He pressed the down button & let me into the elevator. I was so mesmerized by him that I forgot to thank him. What a dork. He must thought that I had no manners. *sigh*

When I went back to my room, I looked him up on Facebook. I found him then I added him but I never talked to him. That was until last year, 26 August 2011. It was Report Card day. I talked to a few parents then suddenly I heard a message on my phone. I opened it, to my surprise, it was him, Mr. K.! He was wishing me Happy Eid. At the same time, he asked for my phone number. I replied his message & gave him my number.

He only replied my message after Eid. From that moment onwards, we text each other everyday, wishing each other good night. Once in a while, he will call me 'b', dear, sunshine, which makes me melt. It has been a year since we texted each other. Now we use WhatsApp as it is free & we can talk about a lot of stuff.

I don't know how he feels about me as I never told him about mine. We never talked about us but I hope we have a future together, I really pray for it. To Mr. K., I will always remember a gentleman who stood outside the elevator. :)

Phwoarrr!!!

OMG! I can see many spider webs here and there in my blog. I'm done giving this excuse, "I have been extremely busy". There is no reason actually. It is just that I always forgot that I have a blog. See? I'm giving excuse again. OK, I promise I will tell you something in my next post. Stay tune (I feel like a DJ)! :)

That’s so random

I write random poems. I do not know where the ideas come from. I just write. Sometimes I scribble them down in a notebook, sometimes on a piece of paper. But often time, they just stay in my head. I used to keep a book with lots of poems which I wrote in the middle of the night, when I could not sleep. Sadly, I have misplaced the book after I moved back to my hometown after I finished my study. I would give anything and everything to have the book back. I have to start again from square one. So here I come!

Get up, get on up

The moment you give up
after you fail,
is the moment
you waste everything away.
Your hardwork,
your effort.
Get up, get on up
until you can soar
high up in the sky.

Congratulations to Spain

UEFA Euro 2012 has ended about half an hour ago with Spain winning the championship. Even though I'm a hardcore Germany fan, but when they won, it means they deserve the win. I was quite disappointed when Germany lost to Italy and disqualified from final but it doesn't matter because Germany is still the best team in the world, to me as I have been supporting them since 1998 (Wow! 14 years & counting). So to the winning team, Spain, enjoy the winning & we'll meet again in World Cup 2014.

P/S: Spanish men are hot! :)

Love,

Seldom is the key word

I seldom post something in here anymore. The reason being is I am super duper busy with assignments, presentations and thesis. All those things have taken all my free time. I can say that I do not even have time to hang out with friends anymore. I spend most of my time on the internet, doing research and going to the library to read. Yep, you read that correctly. I read. So what do I read? Everything, newspapers articles, intellectual books, journals which take a few days to be digested, basically I read everything. This is the sacrifice I have to make. After one year, I will be a graduate again, a Master graduate to be precise. I will be making my parents proud, most of all I will be one step closer to achieve my life-long dream, to become a well-known academician or maybe a photojournalist, or perhaps an editor, whichever comes first. Bear with me, just for a little while longer. I promise I will write something intelligent in here.

To his Coy Mistress - Andrew Marvell

A poem for the month of June. :)

Had we but world enough, and time,
This coyness, lady, were no crime.
We would sit down and think which way
To walk, and pass our long love's day;
Thou by the Indian Ganges' side
Shouldst rubies find; I by the tide
Of Humber would complain. I would
Love you ten years before the Flood;
And you should, if you please, refuse
Till the conversion of the Jews.
My vegetable love should grow
Vaster than empires, and more slow.
An hundred years should go to praise
Thine eyes, and on thy forehead gaze;
Two hundred to adore each breast,
But thirty thousand to the rest;
An age at least to every part,
And the last age should show your heart.
For, lady, you deserve this state,
Nor would I love at lower rate.
But at my back I always hear
Time's winged chariot hurrying near;
And yonder all before us lie
Deserts of vast eternity.
Thy beauty shall no more be found,
Nor, in thy marble vault, shall sound
My echoing song; then worms shall try
That long preserv'd virginity,
And your quaint honour turn to dust,
And into ashes all my lust.
The grave's a fine and private place,
But none I think do there embrace.
Now therefore, while the youthful hue
Sits on thy skin like morning dew,
And while thy willing soul transpires
At every pore with instant fires,
Now let us sport us while we may;
And now, like am'rous birds of prey,
Rather at once our time devour,
Than languish in his slow-chapp'd power.
Let us roll all our strength, and all
Our sweetness, up into one ball;
And tear our pleasures with rough strife
Thorough the iron gates of life.
Thus, though we cannot make our sun
Stand still, yet we will make him run.

Leap year

So for post number 50 on 29 February 2012, I'm not going to talk much because I have no ideas on what to write. I lost my mojo somewhere. I'll try to get it back later. But for now, Happy Leap Year day everyone!

P/S: I am officially a gym member today. I registered myself at Muay Thai Gym to enjoy all the privileges. Waiting for my membership card. I can't wait to see my own photo on it. :)

Hustle and bustle

Even though I don't have class on the weekend, but I still live in a busy world of work. I think my workload has increased without my knowledge. I can see papers and students' work piling up on my table. I haven't get the time to check all their work. Too many other things to settle, some of which are not related to my job.

Sometimes I only get 2 hours of sleep. Sometimes less. Sometimes I can't even sleep due to over-thinking. *sigh* I wonder when can I get enough rest, as in 8 hours of sleep, lazing around reading novels and not doing anything else, especially work. I just hope that I don't fall asleep while walking or bathing.  :)

I Will Always Love You

Today, I woke up at 11.22 am. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and washed my face. As usual, I switched on my laptop and was a bit confused when I saw somebody posted an MTV by Whitney Houston, One Moment In Time with this caption, "In Memory of Whitney Houston (Aug 9, 1963- February 11, 2012)". In my mind, I immediately assumed that she has passed away, but that would be impossible because I just read about her yesterday and I saw her on Oprah a few days ago before I went to class.

Quickly, I typed Whitney Houston in Google and true enough, she has died at the age of 48. Oh Whitney. I never thought that you would gone this soon. I grew up listening to most of your songs. Only a few weeks ago, one radio station played all your greatest hits from 10 am until 12 pm and I listened to all of your songs for that full 2 hours. I really love your songs because of the positive messages in them.

A star is gone but the legacy lives on. Thank you Whitney Houston for entertaining us with your beautiful voice. May your soul rest in peace. I leave you readers out there with one of my favorite songs from Whitney, One Moment In Time.

Morning

Thinking of you
when I wake up
every morning.
You're the reason
for my happiness.
You're the reason
for the smile
on my face.
You're the reason
I can go through the day.
I pray that you will be
with me,
until my last breath.

This impromptu poem is dedicated to someone. I hope you like it. I know it's very simple, I'll try my hardest next time. :)

It's time

Today marks the end of one week of holiday that I enjoyed so much. I have to go back to where I belong after this. Next month will be the beginning of a busy month, at least for me. I don't know about the others.

Sometimes I wish we get more holidays. Don't get me wrong. We do get more holidays than others. I just don't get the ridiculous things that are going on. Never mind. It's hard to explain anyway.

Tomorrow, I'll be busy again. I hope I can steal some time to update my blog. One of my resolutions for this year is to blog more. I hope I can achieve that. It's time now. See you soon.

I don't have a suitable title for this poem

This is a 15 minutes poem, which I did with my students for English class. I was imagining myself on a busy street, when suddenly flashbacks came to me, resulting me to stand in the middle of the busy street. So here goes...

I stand,
in the middle
of the bustling street,
flashbacks engulfing me.
I still remember
the look on his face.
Hurt, confused, sadness...
Questions clouded his face.

Why did it end?
Unexpectedly and suddenly.
My life is a mess
surrounded by darkness.
I have no direction,
I have no where to go.

The honk of the car startled me,
Pulling me back
to the reality of life.
I continue walking
on the pavement
and heading to the future.
Can anyone suggest a title for this poem? I would love to hear from everyone out there. :)

Happy Chinese New Year!!!

I, Lonely Soul, would like to wish my blog readers who are celebrating Chinese New Year a very prosperous and joyful new year! Xin Nian Kuai Le, Gong Xi Fa Cai, Wan She Ru Yi!

Love,

Xin Nian Kuai Le!

It's Chinese New Year holiday peeps! What are your plans for this holiday? I bet everyone will be busy visiting friends and relatives. I know I am.

By the way, I have been meaning to update my blog but I was too preoccupied with my research proposal. It was giving me nightmares, not to mention headaches. I submitted it to my lecturer yesterday and yesterday marked the end of the first semester for me. Yeay! Now I can sleep like no one's business.
This year, I also have a new resolution which is going to the gym. It's for health, plus I can mingle around with new people. Who knows I can meet 'the one'. Just kidding. I have no plans for that at this moment. I just want to be healthy and lose some weight, so that I can fit into my old working attires. It's very depressing to see them hanging in the closet and I can't fit into them anymore. *sigh*

I have so many plans for this one week of holidays, well, let's see if I can fit all my plans in this short time. I'll update again soon.

Happy New Year 2012!!!

I, Lonely Soul, would like to wish everyone a very happy New Year 2012. I won't be able to blog on New Year's eve, so I put this scheduled entry. I hope everyone is looking forward to a brand new start with positive mind. With this, I'll leave you with a quote:

"The Old Year has gone. Let the dead past bury its own dead. The New Year has taken possession of the clock of time.  All hail the duties and possibilities of the coming twelve months! - Edward Payson Powell"
